Paul Moxness
Senior Director
Formerly Vice President Corporate Safety and Security, Paul Moxness had a 31-year career with Radisson Hotel Group. His work took him to over 60 countries in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia. He oversaw the development of corporate and operational training programs, including Fire Safety, Employee Safety, Crisis Management, Travel Safety, Challenging Environment Pre-deployments, and General Manager Certification.
Paul led the development of a threat- and risk-based formula for safety and security that could be applied at any hotel in any location, regardless of size, internal organization, or brand affiliation, and a self-assessment system to support hotels in the strategic follow-up of their preparedness. His efforts were rewarded with a Carlson Fellow, the highest individual honor the company gave for leadership, dedication, and results. His security industry peers selected him as the IFSEC #1 Global Influencer.
Working in alignment with fire risk engineers from Radisson’s insurance broker, Paul led the redesign and implementation of hotel fire life safety audits. The revised audits, which also included an educational component, improved technical audit outcomes and fostered a stronger collaboration between corporate, broker risk engineering, and on-site hotel operations teams.
Paul produces an active Substack newsletter (https://alwayscare.substack.com/) sharing authentic stories from 30-years of hotel, hospitality, and customer service experience around the world and lessons learned at the “University of Life”.
And he’s also an author and lecturer on topics related to AI in the service industry. Paul’s book, Spin the Bottle Service, written with his wife Kirsten Moxness, was published by How2Conquer.
